Welcome to the Web site of Ojo Caliente Elementary, home of the Trojans! We’re located on beautiful reservation land, in Ojo Caliente, New Mexico. We are a K-6 school dedicated to our students and community. We not only strive for excellence here at Ojo Caliente, but we expect a lot from our students. It is our goal to increase performance levels of all students in the areas of reading, writing, and math each year. This will give them the confidence and skills to graduate from high school and continue to further their education. We know you’ll find our brand new Web site a helpful resource. Check back here frequently, as calendar events, news, and information is always changing. If you ever need to speak with the office or one of our teachers, feel free to stop by. We are always available to talk with you! ![]() Welcome to Ojo Caliente Elementary School! My name is Richard L. Romero. I've been the Principal here at Ojo Caliente for the 2007-08 School Year. I am proud to be a part of this great school, to work with dedicated faculty and staff, and honored to be a part of your children's lives while they are learning and growing during their elementary school years. Education has seen many changes during the time I've been an administrator and educator. One of our school goals is to stay up-to-date with current instructional trends and methodologies, which include technology. Our new school Web site is just one way we are bringing technology into focus; we hope you'll find it a valuable resource and a way of staying in communiqué with us at Ojo Caliente Elementary. It is our hope to not only give our youth the success to move onto the next grade level, but to encourage them to continue their education well beyond high school. Working together with parents, community members, and dedicated educational professionals, we can provide a great place for our students to succeed. It has been a great year so far, and I am looking forward to tomorrow and a continued successful school year! Educationally Yours,
Richard L. Romero |
